Chris Ronan, who joined Rycat
in October of 2000, has over fourteen years of experience project managing large
control systems installations throughout the City of New York in both public and
Mr. Ronan started his career
as an electronic lab engineer and systems installation coordinator while
enrolled in the Graduate Electrical Engineering program at Manhattan College.
His responsibilities included
site supervision of electronic control systems installations in projects such as
Battery Park City, The Chrysler Building, and Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital,
as well as component-level troubleshooting and modifications of printed circuit
Chris gained subsequent
experience in control system project management as a Branch Service Manager and
Chief Project Engineer of a global commercial fire alarm system company.
His responsibilities included service sales staff management, contract
administration, and supervision of facility-wide systems installations in
buildings throughout the New York metropolitan area, such as Radio City Music
Hall, Madison Square Garden, Chase Metrotec, and the New York Hilton Hotel.
Chris also achieved 100% of assigned revenue quota, and attended the prestigious
“100%” conferences, five out of five years.
In addition to his control
systems experience, Chris also has a solid construction management background,
having worked with the construction management firm of O’Brien-Kreitzberg.
During part of his time with O’Brien-Kreitzberg, Chris was a Project
Manager for the Design and Construction department of a major international
financial firm. Among the many projects completed while working with the
firm, Chris participated in the construction of a firm-wide Training Center and
a 252-position Fixed Income Currency and Commodities Trading facility.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Physics from Fordham University and anticipates the completion of a Master’s
degree in Computer Science from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, in spring of
